International Research on Plant Nutrition Takes Off

A new joint institute of the University of Göttingen and K+S KALI GmbH is dedicated to practice-oriented research in the field of plant nutrition. The Institute of Applied Plant Nutrition (IAPN) will investigate topical, practical questions arising at the interface between science and economics, pool existing knowledge, and transfer the latest findings to agricultural practitioners. In the global rankings, the Georgia Augusta placed 5th. Forestry scientists from Göttingen “minders” of China’s forests

Forestry scientists at Göttingen University are looking at new, long-term concepts for the utilisation and management of forests in China. Within the last 30 years, up to 50 million hectares of forest have been planted there. This equates to about a quarter of all global afforestation during this period.
